Meghan Jones- Scenic Designer
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my site. I invite you to explore my expanded portfolio of scenic design work, featuring projects from initial design concepts through technical direction, stage carpentry, and scenic painting.
In addition to theatre, I am passionate about furniture design. Over the past year, I have completed several projects that I personally designed, fabricated, and detailed from start to finish.
For more than 20 years, I have been designing scenery throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey. I began my career in stage carpentry, where collaborating on the designs of others sparked my interest in the aesthetic and problem-solving aspects of scenic design. That passion led me to pursue an MFA in Scenic Design at Temple University. After graduating, I continued designing while working for several years as a Technical Director.
Today, I design for companies across the region and serve as Technical Director and Production Manager for the Theater and Dance Department at Ursinus College.
